Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in Cosmology, in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Padova, Italy.
The successful applicant will work at the development of statistical methods and numerical pipelines for the study of cosmological non-Gaussianity in Large Scale Structure datasets.
The position is for two years, with a net salary of 1700 Euros per month, more than adequate for the cost of living in Padova. The starting date for the appointment is on 15 July.
The Padova Cosmology group has a broad range of interests in theoretical and observational cosmology, including modelling of LSS observables, inflationary models and primordial non-Gaussianity, primordial sources of gravitational waves, and analysis of large cosmological datasets. The group has a long-standing expertise in LSS and CMB computer simulations, it has a strong involvement in the Planck and Euclid collaborations and it has recently joined the LISA satellite Cosmology working group.
Candidates must have a PhD in Physics, Astronomy, or related fields, and at least 18 months of previous postdoctoral experience. Expertise in the analysis of galaxy clustering and strong computational skills will be considered as important assets.
