Department of Physics and Matematics at Aoyama Gakuin University (AGU) invites applicatoins for a postdoctoral position in high energy astrophysics. The successful candidate will work in collaborations with Dr. Atsumasa Yoshida and Dr. Takanori Sakamoto on the electromagnetic counterpart search for the gravitational-wave events mainly using the CALET Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (CGBM) data. The candidate will also be reponsible for constructing the pipeline for the data archive of the CGBM data.
The appointment will begin on October 1, 2017 or later, and end on March 31, 2019. The appointee may re-apply for the next opening that is expected to be announced before the end of the term, and it ends on March 31, 2022. The salary will be approximately the same as JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowhip (Standard Program) and eligible for the social insurance. A Ph.D. in astronomy, physics, or a related field is required at the time of the appointment.
