Job Description

The School of Physics and Astronomy, Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU) at Zhuhai, China invites applications for 2 or more postdoctoral positions to work independently and in collaborations with Prof. Cong Yu and Prof. Yang Gao in the field of protoplanetary disks, exoplanet formation and exoplanet atmospheres. Experiences in hydrodynamic and/or radiative transfer simulations or in exoplanet data processing are highly desirable. Collaboration with all SYSU faculty members interested in exoplanet research is also very welcome and encouraged (http://spa.sysu.edu.cn/en).

The appointment can be 2 or 3 years and the salary is competitive and depends on the academic experience of the applicant. There are funding available for research and travels; and applicants are also supported to seek for further independent research funds. Housing, health insurances and campus stipends will be provided following the rules at SYSU Zhuhai Campus. Successful applicants are expected to start at SYSU before September 1, 2018 (negotiable).
