Postdoc position in cosmology

The "Donostia International Physics Center" (DIPC) is accepting applications for a postdoctoral position in cosmology. The DIPC is located in Donostia/San Sebastian, a beautiful mid-sized city on the coast of the Spanish Basque Country. Candidates with expertise in observational and computational aspects of galaxy clustering, clusters, neutrino cosmology, and/or gravitational lensing are particularly encouraged to apply.

The duration of the appointment will be 2 years. The appointment could be extended to a third year, subject to performance and to the availability of funding. 

The selected candidate will be part of the astrophysics group at the DIPC. The group was recently formed and is rapidly expanding. It has broad expertise in numerical simulations of structure formation (dark matter/hydrodynamical/semi-analytical) and cosmological galaxy surveys. The group is involved in the Euclid and the LISA missions and J-PAS and the WEAVE-QSO surveys. A large supercomputer is available on-site to all members of the group.  Staff members of the group include Prof. Raul Angulo and Dr. Silvia Bonoli and the selected candidate will also work closely with Prof. George Smoot and  Prof. Tom Broadhurst, affiliated to the DIPC.
