Postdoctoral Fellow in Supernova, Ref. No. SU FV-4099-17, at the Department of Astronomy, Stockholm University, Sweden. Closing date: 31 January 2018.
The Department of Astronomy at Stockholm University invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher in the area of computational astrophyiscs, particularly core-collapse supernovae. The position will see the successful applicant joining our group effort of numerical modeling of core-collapse supernovae. Of potential interest for this project is extending the fidelity of our neutrino transport algorithms and neutrino microphysics. The position will also afford the possibility to interact with the extensive theoretical and observational supernovae groups, other computational astrophysics groups, and the larger astronomy and physics community at Stockholm University and The Oskar Klein Centre.
Terms of employment
The position is a two-year full-time appointment with the possibility of a one-year extension. It is available immediately, but a later starting date can be negotiated. Stockholm University strives to be a workplace free from discrimination and with equal opportunities for all.
