The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Clemson University (a Carnegie R1 Research University) invites applications for a faculty position in astrophysics at the tenure-track Assistant Professor or higher level to begin August 15, 2020.
Currently, our department has strong research efforts in the areas of high-energy astrophysics, time-domain and multi-messenger astronomy, nucleosynthesis, cosmochemistry, and star & planet formation. Our search will be primarily focused on candidates with research interests in exoplanets and planet formation/the origins of solar systems. However, applications from outstanding candidates in all areas, including cosmochemistry, time-domain astrophysics, and multi-messenger astronomy are encouraged. We seek someone who can complement and enhance the research activities of the department.

The successful candidate will establish an externally funded research program and teach physics and astronomy at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in Physics, Astronomy, or closely related field.
