Job Description

The Department of Physics at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Researcher in Astrophysics. The successful applicant will work with Prof. Bret Lehmer and his research group on studies related to X-ray emission from normal galaxies and/or spectral energy distribution fitting of multiwavelength data to investigate galaxy properties. Dr. Lehmer’s group makes use of a variety of data from X-ray and multiwavelength observational facilities, including, e.g., Chandra, XMM-Newton, NuSTAR, Hubble Space Telescope, Spitzer, Sloan Digital Sky Survey, GALEX, and Herschel. The successful applicant will have the option to work with and mentor quality undergraduate and graduate students and participate in teaching and outreach activities, if desired.
