The Astronomy and Astrophysics Department within the School of Physics and Astronomy at Tel Aviv University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. Candidates are expected to have a strong track record in research and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching. Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree and significant postdoctoral research experience, in an area of theoretical, observational, or instrumental astronomy.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, to lead an active research group involving M.Sc. and Ph.D. students, and to obtain external research funding. Note that teaching at Tel Aviv University is primarily in Hebrew. While excellent candidates who are not fluent in Hebrew will be considered, successful candidates will be expected to be able to teach in Hebrew after an adjustment period.
