Job Description

The Astrophysics department of the AMNH in New York City invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist position in stellar/exoplanet astronomy. The successful candidate will work jointly with Drs. Ruth Angus, Jackie Faherty, and Trevor David on TESS data to study stars, brown dwarfs & exoplanets. The successful candidate will have a PhD in astronomy, statistics, or a related field by the date of the appointment. A background in stellar/brown dwarf/exoplanetary astrophysics, and/or statistics & machine learning methods is preferred. The start date is flexible and could be any time after January 1, 2020. The appointment is initially for two years, with the possibility of renewal for up to three years. Questions regarding this position can be sent to [email protected].
