Job Announcement Text:

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position at Michigan State University working with Prof. Laura Chomiuk on multi-wavelength observations of Galactic novae.

This group has active multi-wavelength programs to study novae at radio, optical, X-ray, and gamma-ray wavelengths, and synthesize observational findings with theoretical predictions. We are particularly interested in studying shocks in novae and imaging the ejecta morphology/evolution. We are also leading a systematic Galaxy-wide survey for novae with ASAS-SN. Michigan State has guaranteed access to the SOAR 4-m telescope in Chile. Inquiries about the position are actively encouraged (

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in astronomy, physics, or a related subject by the appointment start. The initial appointment will be for one year and will be renewable for additional years upon mutual agreement.
