Applications are invited for fixed-term postgraduate research studentships tenable at the Armagh Observatory & Planetarium from Sept/Oct 2019.
Armagh Observatory, located in Northern Ireland, UK, is an astrophysical research and educational institute. Current research is focussed on the Sun; small bodies in the Solar System; the astrophysics of stars and populations of stars in the local universe; and mapping the dynamics of galaxies in the near universe.
Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, at least an upper second class honours degree or equivalent, in an appropriate discipline (e.g. Physics, Mathematics, Astronomy or Astrophysics). Successful candidates will enroll at an appropriate university and carry out a research programme at Armagh. Applications are encouraged from candidates of any nationality. Successful applicants would recieve a stipend and full payment of university fees.
