CSIRO Astronomy & Space Science (CASS) is looking for an enthusiastic Postdoctoral Fellow to join the vibrant and diverse CASS Astrophysics Group to work with the Parkes telescope in Australia. The Fellow will work closely with Drs G. Hobbs and J. Green, to undertake postdoctoral research in support of the development of new spectral line and pulsar capabilities at the telescope specifically with the new ultra-widebandwidth receiver (700 MHz to 4 GHz). The new receiver will be commissioned later this year. We are looking for someone capable of ensuring the success of the new receiver system, developing new calibration methods to enable simultaneous spectral line and pulsar observations, and publishing scientific results relating to these fields.
The postdoctoral fellow will be a CSIRO employee and based in Sydney, Australia and the position will be for three years. Applicants should follow the link to the CSIRO recruitment pages.
