Postdoc@Technion on SNe, GWs, TDEs, stellar and planetary dynamics and evolution

Hagai Perets' astrophysics group in the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology offers several postdoctoral fellowships in various research areas related to astronomy, astrophysics and planetary science, including the ERC funded project "SNeX" on supernovae explosions, their modeling, and progenitors. 

Researchers involved in any of the following are highly encouraged to apply: Supernova theory and observations, stellar evolution and population synthesis,  stellar and planetary dynamics, dynamics of few-body systems and stellar clusters, gravitational-wave progenitors, transients, planet formation, prototoplanetary disks evolution and simulations, stellar dynamics and gas processes near massive black holes and the Galactic center, Solar system planets, moons, and minor bodies, theoretical and observational exo-planet research. Applicants with experience in hydrodynamical simulations are especially encouraged to apply.

Besides salary, successful candidates would receive an annual 5000 $ for personal research budget. Fellows are expected to carry out both independent original research, as well as collaborative work with faculty and/or students. The main selection criteria will be outstanding research accomplishments, creativity and promise of future achievement. The position is for two to three years pending on budget and progress. Fellows will have access to ample time on high-performance computers, as well as access to observation time on the LCO telescope network.
