Applications are invited for a Distinguished Postdoctoral Scholar position at the Bartol Research Institute. Bartol is a research center within the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Delaware with a focus on Astronomy and Astrophysics, Particle Astrophysics, Space Physics, and Theoretical Particle Physics. Applications from candidates with interests in any of these areas will be considered. The postdoctoral scholar will conduct independent research, but collaboration with one or more Bartol members is expected, and the potential for collaboration should be discussed in the candidate’s application materials. The initial annual salary is $68,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package, with additional funds available for research expenses and travel support. The position is available for two years, with the possibility of extension for a third year.
