The focus of research of the Computational Astrophysics group lies in the field of star and planet formation, and the physics of accretion disks. The successful applicant will carry out original research in the field of Planet Formation within the Computational Astrophysics group of the IAAT. Funding is from the German Research Foundation (DFG) within a collaborative project on Growth and Evolution of Planets in protoplanetary Disks together with the Observatoire de la Cote d'Azur (France), where a second Postdoc position will be available. Experience in performing hydrodynamical and/or magnetohydrodynamical simulations is highly desirable.
The appointment is initially for two years with possible extension, and paid according to German public service scale (TV-L E13)
