Peng Cheng Postdoctoral Positions in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Statistics applications in Astrophysics

Peng Cheng laboratory, a leading institute in Artificial intelligence (AI) in Shenzhen, China, invites applications for postdoctoral positions at the interface between AI, Machine Learning, Statistics, and Astrophysics. Successful applicants have opportunities to collaborate with world renowned experts in the field of computer science. Further, this lab has science collaborations with several astrophysicists in the department of astronomy at Tsinghua University, Australia National University, National Astronomical Observatory of China, Nanjing University, Flatiron Institute, Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA), and etc. Applicants should have strong interest in astrophysics as well as experiences in machine learning and/or AI. Successful applicants will conduct independent work and are encouraged to have their independent science collaborations.

Appointments are for 2 years, with renewal for a third year likely, contingent upon satisfactory progress. We provide a world competitive salary (about 500K RMB per year), independent research funds, and benefits. The anticipated starting date is from spring to Fall of 2021 (negotiable).
