Liverpool John Moores University owns and operates a 2.0-m robotic telescope (“The Liverpool Telescope”) on La Palma in the Canary Islands.  Working with international partners we now intend to build a 4.0m class robotic telescope on the same site.  

We seek an experienced engineer to take responsibility for leading all engineering activity related to the development of the telescope and its enclosure. You will identify and manage the delivery of effort within LJMU engineering team, external partners and companies as well as carrying out System Engineering responsibilities and contributing your own discipline specific expertise to the design. You will also take ownership of the Health and Safety aspects of the project.

Included Benefits: 

Salary in the range GBP 39,993 - 49,149.  Relocation Expenses Available.
