The NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS), hosted at the Center for Astrophysics since 1993, is one of the world’s most powerful digital information systems and is expanding its services to serve all of NASA’s Science Mission Directorate disciplines. The ADS project is funded by NASA, and provides its services to the worldwide community in astronomy and related research fields. This is the position of Project Scientist for Astrophysics with the ADS. The employee will work to establish and maintain the ADS as a world-leading information resource for astrophysicists and related disciplines. Duties of this job include but are not limited to serving as the principal ADS scientific resource for Astrophysics, developing new methods to search, discover, and use research data and publications, and serving as a research scientist at the intersection of Astrophysics and Information Science.
