Visiting Assistant Professor, Physics

The Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics in the College of Natural and Health Sciences at The University of Tampa (UT) invites applications for a full-time, one-year term position as Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics starting in August 2020 to cover a sabbatical leave.

The University of Tampa is a medium-sized, comprehensive, residentially based private institution of 9,200 undergraduate and graduate students. We are seeking an energetic individual with an enthusiasm for teaching at the undergraduate level. The position entails teaching 27 contact hours (3-4 classes a semester) over the 2020/21 academic year. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellence in undergraduate education for both science and non-science majors and will be encouraged to engage in department and University activities.

A Ph.D. in physics, astronomy, or other closely related field is required. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
