Several postdoctoral positions in theoretical and computational astrophysics

The Centre for Theoretical Astrophysics and Cosmology at the University of Zurich invites applications for several postdoctoral positions. Candidates should be able to carry out a vigorous research program and interact with students, postdocs and faculty, which includes Prof. Feldmann, Helled, Mayer, Moore, Saha, Stadel, Teyssier and Yoo. We are looking for applicants with a wide range of interests, from cosmology to galaxy formation, from binary black holes to planet formation. Candidates with a strong theoretical and/or computational background will be preferred. Appointments are initially for two years with a possibility of further extensions. Postdoctoral salaries are in the range 85,000-90,000 CHF. Our scientific computing infrastructure is very strong and includes access to the Swiss supercomputing centre in Lugano.
