Applications are invited for a postdoctoral scholar position in the Department of Physics at Case Western Reserve University. The successful applicant will work with Prof. Idit Zehavi and collaborators on different aspects of large-scale structure, galaxy formation and cosmology, particularly as pertaining to large galaxy surveys. The postdoctoral scholar will engage in both independent and collaborative research. The appointment is expected to start in Fall 2019 and will be for a period of up to three years via renewable one-year terms, subject to satisfactory performance and the availability of funds. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Physics or Astronomy and some relevant experience.
The CWRU Department of Physics provides a stimulating work environment and includes several members with broad interests in cosmology and particle astrophysics. The department is also part of the Center for Education and Research in Cosmology and Astrophysics.
