Postdoctoral Fellow in extragalactic astronomy

The Astronomy Department at Stockholm University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research fellowship position to work with Dr. Angela Adamo on star formation and feedback processes in high-redshift lensed galaxies.

The position is available from Summer 2021, for a period of 2 years. A third year may be offered upon funding availability. 

The research will focus on star formation and feedback at the highest spatial resolution in gravitationally lensed high-redshift galaxies, developing new analysis tools to exploit HST, ESO/VLT and upcoming JWST observations. Experience in multi wavelength analyses of star formation in local/high redshift galaxies and lensing models are considered fundamental during the selection process. The position will see the successful applicant joining the Galaxy group and afford the possibility to interact with the extensive theoretical and observational groups within the Oskar Klein Centre for Cosmoparticle Physics.
