The Department of Astronomy at the University of Virginia invites applications for the Near-Field Cosmology Prize Research Associate position. The successful applicant will work with Prof. Nitya Kallivayalil on stellar populations studies in the local Universe involving HST, JWST and ground-based data. The successful applicant can also propose their own topics within the umbrella of near-field cosmology research and will have access to their own research and travel funds.
QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. degree in astronomy, physics, or a related field by the starting date of the appointment is required. Experience in analyzing HST data is preferred.
