  • Full-time at 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE)
  • 2.5 year fixed term position (start date by negotiation)

The University of Canterbury invites applications for a postdoctoral position in astrostatistics applied to gravitational microlensing. The fellow is expected to work with Associate Professor Michael Albrow, graduate students, and collaborators on the analysis of microlensing data, particularly from the Korean Microlensing Telescope Network.

Applicants should have a PhD in astrophysics, astrostatistics, or a related area, and a demonstrated ability in computational data analysis.

A background in gaussian-process regression, machine learning, gravitational microlensing analysis and/or scientific programming in C/CUDA/PYTHON would be an advantage.
