Applications are invited for a 3-year ASTRO 3D Postdoctoral Research Associate position. The research associate will conduct research at Swinburne University of Technology within the Galaxy Evolution Project of ASTRO 3D. The research will involve observational studies of stellar populations, interstellar medium and/or circumgalactic medium using large optical telescopes. Specific research outcomes arising from this appointment include the analysis and publication of data from the DUVET sample, which is an optical IFU survey using Keck Cosmic Web Imager targeting extreme starbursting galaxies in effort to learn more about feedback processes. DUVET is an international team and has supplementary data acquired from HST, ALMA and other optical telescopes. The research will be in collaboration with A/Prof Deanne Fisher, and also supported in collaboration with A/Prof Glenn Kacprzak. The appointee will be supported in their career development and encouraged to conduct independent research and work collaboratively within the ASTRO 3D Galaxy Evolution Project, including with Prof Kim-Vy Tran (UNSW), Prof Lisa Kewley (ANU), A/Prof Emma Ryan-Weber and Prof Darren Croton and other staff within the Centre of Astrophysics and Supercomputing.

This appointment is for 36 months Full time Equivalent. The Academic Level of the appointment (A or B) will depend on the years of postdoctoral experience, all are encouraged to apply.
