Job Description

A post doc position is available in the subject of high-energy astrophysics, with focus on the study of gamma-ray bursts, at the Department of Physics, KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The department is part of the Oskar Klein Centre (OKC, http://www.okc.albanova.se), which provides a stimulating research environment.

The successful applicant is expected to contribute to the group’s ongoing work to understand the emission during the prompt phase from various perspectives. This includes data analysis as well as theoretical interpretation. Experience in analysis of data from the Fermi satellite is a merit, as is experience in theoretical interpretation of the data. The successful candidate will be encouraged to take part in the supervision of master students and/or PhD students.  

Applicants should hold (or soon hold) a PhD in astrophysics, preferably obtained within three years of the deadline. The preferred starting date is during spring or early fall of 2023. Instructions for how to apply are available at the link below.
