Applications are invited for one postdoctoral position at the Center for Theoretical Physics (CTP PAS), in Warsaw, Poland, to work on a study of gamma ray bursts and their multimessenger appearance, employing computational astrophysics methods.
We are looking for a candidate with a PhD and experience in theoretical and computational astrophysics. The research involves study of stellar evolution and collapse in the context of long gamma ray bursts. We are also studying r-process nucleosynthesis in the outflows from accretion disks in GRB engines.

The position will be available for initially two years, with a possible extension for the third year, subject to satisfactory performance.
The application should include: 1. The scientific CV, including publication list, participation in research projects and conferences (with the clause "I agree to the processing of my personal data contained in the application documents?) 2. Motivation letter, with a brief description of the Candidate scientific interests and future research plans. 3. A copy of the PhD diploma, or statement from the PhD Advisor on the planned date of defense (the PhD should be awarded before the post-doc contract starting date). 4. Candidates might be asked to present an on-line seminar talk. The position will remain open until filled. The prospective starting date of the contract is October 1st 2021, but it can be negotiated. The salary is on Polish maximum level for a postdoc position, i.e. 120,000 polish PLN/year.
