Instructor in Physics
Phillips Academy, a private boarding high school in Andover, Massachusetts, seeks a full-time, continuing Instructor in Physics to begin in September of 2020. We are particularly interested in candidates who are enthusiastic about teaching at all levels of the physics curriculum, from 9th grade algebra-based courses through calculus-based courses taught at the AP level. Although not expected in the first year, it is also desired such a candidate will be able to teach one of the established elective offerings in the course catalog. We seek dynamic candidates who will be active participants not only in the academic program but also in the athletics/fitness and residential programs at this boarding school. Master’s degree plus a minimum of three years teaching experience preferred.
Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Please visit our application portal to submit a cover letter (addressed to Mr. Jeffrey C. Domina, Dean of Faculty, Phillips Academy), résumé, and two letters of reference.
Phillips Academy is an intentionally diverse and inclusive residential community. In your cover letter, please address directly your experience and interest in working in such a school community.
