The Department of Physics & Astronomy at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) invites applications for a non-tenure track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the development and teaching of general physics lecture courses as well as upper-level undergraduate/graduate courses for physics majors and students specializing in optics as physics majors, while contributing to the ongoing evolution of our core missions in teaching and research. Responsibilities also include participation in the following: science outreach, instructional innovation resulting in improved student learning, effective use of technology, and distance learning.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field. Prior experience in teaching at either the high school or university level is desirable, as is research or teaching lab experience.
