The ARC Centre of Excellence for All-Sky Astrophysics in 3 dimensions, within the School of Physics, invites suitably qualified researchers to apply to a postdoctoral research position on first galaxies. The successful applicants will work with A/Prof. Michele Trenti on problems associated with star formation at high redshift, galaxy evolution, use of gamma ray bursts as tools to explore the young Universe, and cosmic reionization. The position will be focused on analysis of data from the Hubble and Spitzer Space Telescopes to discover and characterize the first galaxies in the Universe, and design of strategies for James Webb Space Telescope observations, including potential development of innovative machine learning algorithms.
