Job Description

Applications are invited for up to two post-doctoral research positions at the University of California Los Angeles. The successful applicant will work with Prof. Tommaso Treu on the investigation of the expansion history of the universe (including the Hubble tension problem) and the nature of dark matter using a variety of techniques and datasets.

Available resources include Hubble Space Telescope, Keck and VLT data, and access to the Hoffman2 shared cluster. Previous experience in nalysis of HST data, ground based imaging and spectroscopy, code development, and gravitational lens modeling is considered a plus but it is not necessary. A fraction of the successful candidates' time is expected to be devoted to independent research.  The appointment is for two years. Renewal for a third year is subject to performance and availability of funds.

The appointments are expected to start on or before Sep 1 2020, and requires the completion of a PhD.
