The Research School for Astronomy & Astrophysics at the Australian National University invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow to work with Professor Naomi McClure-Griffiths on new HI data from the Australian SKA Pathfinder (ASKAP) telescope as part of the Galactic Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder (GASKAP) survey. The successful applicant will become a core member of the GASKAP team, working directly with the GASKAP data to conduct a program of research aimed at understanding the evolution of gas within the Magellanic system and/or Milky Way. The postdoc will also contribute to the overall management of the GASKAP survey.
The position is for 3 years. The salary range is AU $73,309 - $113,165 per annum plus 17% superannuation (depending on experience). The start date is flexible between March-Dec 2020. Applicants should have completed a PhD in Astronomy or Physics.
