Job Description

The University of Delaware Department of Physics and Astronomy seeks applications for the Annie Jump Cannon Postdoctoral Researcher.  The position is for 2 years, with a third year contingent on performance and funding availability.  The Annie Jump Cannon Post-doctoral Research appointment provides an opportunity for a highly qualified postdoctoral candidate to conduct independent research in any area. The department  has programs in observational and theoretical stellar physics, asteroseismology, exoplanets, gamma ray astronomy, high energy astrophysics, and galactic and extragalactic astronomy. Faculty hold leadership positions in the Vera Rubin ObservatoryIceCube, and IceTop. The Bartol Research Institute is part of the VERITAS and CTA collaborations. The Department also hosts  DARC, is a member of  SARA, and collaborates with Mt. Cuba Observatory.
