Job Description

The Niels Bohr Institute announces a postdoc position in Lars Kristensen’s group to work on observational projects related to the chemistry of star-forming regions with the possibility to work on the candidate’s own research programs (as agreed upon). Specifically, the candidate will work on data from the SubMillimeter Array (SMA) survey PILS-Cygnus.

Qualifications

The candidate is expected to have a PhD in astrophysics. The position involves processing and analysis of sub-mm interferometry data of star-forming regions and modeling these data, so previous experience is an advantage. A background in astrochemistry and experience with telescope proposal and paper writing are helpful.

Terms of salary and employment

The employment will start in the fall of 2019 and is for 3 years.

The minimum base salary is DKK 33,700/month (5200 USD); a supplement can be negotiated depending on qualifications. Most non-Danish citizens are eligible for a favorable tax scheme. Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
