Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in Galaxy evolution with JWST (Post doc position - D.D. 573/2022) at the National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF), Padova Observatory.
The successful applicant will work in the extragalactic group in Padova and join the international GLASS (https://glass.astro.ucla.edu/ers/) and PASSAGE teams. He/she will mainly involved in the exploitation of NIRISS data to investigate galaxy properties as a function of environment and cosmic time.
A fraction of the time will be available for independent research, and independent collaborations are encouraged.
The position is offered for 2 years, renewable depending on fund availability, with anticipated starting date on June 2023, negotiable.

Applicants should have a PhD in physics, astronomy or related subject by the time of the application. Experience in spatially resolved spectroscopy will be a plus.
The annual salary will be 29,000 EUR (income tax does not apply to this type of contract) which is more than adequate for local costs of living. Travel funds are also available.
