The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Delaware invites application for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of experimental and/or theoretical astroparticle physics. Candidates with expertise in the study of cosmic rays, neutrinos, gamma rays, multi-messenger astronomy and related fields will be considered.
We seek creative and innovative individuals who have demonstrated excellence in research, who will engage in high-quality teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and who are eager to work in a collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment and become leaders in their fields. Astroparticle physics is a longstanding specialty of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, and of the Bartol Research Institute, a research center within the Department. Faculty include members of the IceCube, ANITA, ARA, VERITAS and CTA collaborations. Candidates conducting research that complements existing Departmental strengths are especially encouraged to apply.
