Applications are invited for a postdoctoral researcher in high-energy astrophysics at the University of Michigan, Department of Astronomy. The successful applicant will work with Prof Elena Gallo on observational properties of weakly accreting black holes across the mass scale. Candidates will have a Ph.D. in Astronomy or Physics and will be familiar with the physics of accretion onto compact objects. Experience in one or more of the following is considered a plus: working with large datasets, X-ray and/or radio data analysis, Bayesian inference. The initial appointment is for two years, starting no later than September 2018. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
