A recognized leader in space science research and spacecraft instrumentation, avionics, and electronics, we are helping to reveal the secrets of our solar system and the universe.
Objectives of this Role:
- Participate in numerous Project Espresso laboratory or numerical experiments and data analyses.
- Lead new experiments related to the on-going Project ESPRESSO work utilizing the existing and new experimental setups.
- This includes the possibility of assisting or leading experiments on reduced gravity flights.
- Support outreach efforts including development and operation of telerobotics systems for improving field accessibility.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Project ESPRESSO team to utilize existing laboratory equipment related to impact physics or space exploration mission concepts.
Requirements:
- Requires a PhD with a 3.00 GPA in Physics, Astronomy, Optical Sciences, Geological Sciences or related disciplines
- 1 years: Academic Experience designing, implementing, and/or conducting laboratory experiments or numerical models
- A valid/clear driver's license is required
Special Requirements:
Work assignment is in Boulder, Colorado. This is a 1 year limited term assignment with possibility to extend.
Job Locations: Boulder, Colorado
Salary Range: $62,000.00 - $82,000.00
