Job Summary
Job Description
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in infrared extragalactic surveys with the SPace Infrared telescope for Cosmology and Astrophysics (SPICA) at the Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica (INAF) - Osservatorio di Astrofisica e Scienza dello Spazio (OAS) in Bologna.
OAS is one of the main departments of INAF, the largest infrastructure in Italy for research in Astrophysics, made by a network of 16 departments spread across the country.
The successful candidate will join the SPICA team and the extragalactic group in Bologna, and will work on the physical and evolutionary properties of galaxies and AGN, performing feasibility studies of mid- and far-IR surveys with SPICA.
The appointment is expected to begin between May and July 2019 (to be agreed with the successful applicant), and will be for two years (renewable afterwards, subject to fund availability and performance review).
