Job Description

The Department of Astronomy and Institute for Advanced Study at Tsinghua University, Beijing, invite applications for a postdoc research associate position. The successful candidate is expected to collaborate with Prof. Xuening Bai and/or Prof. Chris Ormel on the simulation and modeling of protoplanetary/circumplanetary disks and planet/satellite formation.

The successful applicant must have a PhD degree in astronomy, planetary science or related fields by the time of appointment. Applicants with experience in (magneto-)hydrodynamical simulations, dust dynamics, radiative transfer and/or planet formation models are particularly encouraged to apply.

The appointment is initially for two years, and is renewable up to a total of 4 years contingent upon performance and funding. The successful candidate will be offered competitive salary, subsidized housing and standard benefits, and will also be considered for the “Shuimu Scholar” Program at Tsinghua University.
