The Physics Department at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) seeks to hire a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to work on galaxies, galaxy groups, and galaxy clusters. Candidates with research experience on the radio interferometry data from e.g., VLA, ATCA and GMRT, or research experience on the X-ray data from XMM and Chandra are preferred. The postdoc will work with Prof. Ming Sun.
Minimum qualifications include a doctoral degree in Physics or Astronomy, 0-21 months of experience with astronomical software and/or computer programming skills, and previous experience in any of the fields above. The position is initially for two years, with a possible extension for a third year, subject to performance and availability of funds. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
