Applications are invited for a postdoctoral Position in “Integral-field spectroscopy and multi-wavelength view of gas and galaxy evolution in different environments” at the Padova Observatory of the National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF) (Post-doc position - D.D. 40/2019). The position is funded by the European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant n. 833824. The Padova Observatory is one of the main structures of INAF, a network of 17 research institutes spread throughout Italy. INAF is a world leading institute and is a major partner of ESO.
The successful applicant will work in the extragalactic group in Padova and join the international GASP team (http://web.oapd.inaf.it/gasp/). He/she will investigate the physical processes removing gas from galaxies as a function of environment and their effects on the galaxy evolutionary history. The primary focus is the analysis of the multi-wavelength dataset of galaxies at low redshift (MUSE, ALMA, APEX, JVLA and UVIT data) of the GASP survey. The position is offered for 2 years, renewable up to 4 years, with a starting date from february 2019 onward, negotiable. The annual salary is 38.000 euro.
