Job Description

The School of Earth and Space Exploration (SESE) at Arizona State University invites applications for a postdoctoral research scholar in theory and data analysis for cosmology.

We invite applications for one postdoctoral research scholar position to work in collaboration with Alexander van Engelen on aspects of analysis for upcoming cosmological datasets, as well as theoretical modelling, with a focus on the cosmic microwave background.

The initial appointment is a full-time, fiscal-year appointment for two years with subsequent annual renewal for up to one additional year contingent upon satisfactory performance, the needs of the university, and availability of resources. The start date is September 2020. This position comes with a competitive salary and moving expenses.  Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in physics, astronomy, or a related discipline by time of appointment.

Desired qualifications include an interest in performing analysis of current and upcoming surveys of the mm-wave sky including the Atacama Cosmology Telescope, the Simons Observatory. Interest in theoretical modelling for these surveys and other related surveys.
