About the position
One-two positions as Postdoctoral Research Fellow are available at the Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics.
The appointment is a fulltime position and is for a period of up to four years, 25 % of which is devoted to required duties.
One of the two potential positions is dedicated to the development of a single joint global sky model extending from radio to mid-infrared frequencies. The other position is dedicated to the development of a time-domain Gibbs sampler, with a particular focus on application to SPIDER.
A generous personal travel/expenses grant of 50 kNOK is available per year. The institute also has access to world-class computing facilities, both in-house and on-campus, that are directly available to the candidate.
The cosmology group at the Institute participates heavily in the COMAP, PASIPHAE, Planck, SPIDER, and Euclid experiments, and is a member of the LiteBIRD Joint Study group.
