The Department of Physics and Materials Science at the University of Memphis is seeking qualified individuals for a tenure-track faculty position in Astronomy/Astrophysics at the assistant professor level, to begin in Fall 2018. We seek candidates in observational, computational, theoretical, or instrumental astrophysics, astronomy, cosmology, or astroparticle physics. Candidates must have a PhD in Physics, astronomy or a closely related discipline. The department offers BS, MS and PhD programs. The successful candidate for this position is expected to develop independent research programs, effectively teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor both graduate and undergraduate students, and provide services to the department and/or university.
