Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research position at the University of California Los Angeles. The successful applicant will work with Prof. Tommaso Treu on the investigation of the epoch of reionization, in preparation for the approved JWST-ERS program 01324 "Through the looking GLASS: a JWST exploration of galaxy formation and evolution from cosmic dawn to present day." Available resources include Hubble Space Telescope, Keck and VLT data, and access to the Hoffman2 shared cluster. Previous experience in analysis of HST data, ground based imaging and spectroscopy, code development, is considered a plus but it is not necessary. A fraction of the successful candidate's time is expected to be devoted to independent research. The appointment is for two years, pending availability of funds. Renewal for a third year is subject to performance and availability of funds.
The appointment is expected to start on or before Sep 1 2019, and requires the completion of a PhD.
