Postdoctoral Position in Observational High-Energy Astronomy

We are offering a 2-year postdoctoral position at the Observatory of the University of Hamburg to work on observational high-energy astronomy. The focus of this position lies on extragalactic research with LOFAR and other radio interferometers, as well as X-ray observatories such as Chandra. Multi-wavelength expertise and/or experience in theoretical research is also welcome. The Observatory offers a diverse and rich research environment with privileged access to our own LOFAR station and state-of-the-art computing facilities. We are also involved in eRosita and 4MOST. Funding for travel to attend and present at domestic and international meetings will be available. A PhD in astronomy and experience in reducing radio interferometry data is a requirement.
