Job Description

The Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Postdoctoral Research Assistant. The incumbent will perform research and work primarily with galaxies, galaxy groups and galaxy clusters. The Candidates with research experience on the optical data from e.g., VLT/MUSE and Hubble, or research experience on the X-ray data from XMM and Chandra are preferred. The postdoc will work with Prof. Ming Sun.

Minimum qualifications include a doctoral degree in Physics or Astronomy, 0-24 months of work experience, research experience on galaxies and experience with data analysis of the optical or x-ray data and programming. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
