Position title: Assistant Professor

Salary range: A reasonable salary range estimate for this position is $74,600-$97,200. The posted UC Academic salary scales set the minimum pay as determined by rank and/or step at appointment. Position description

 

The newly-established Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics (A&A) within the School of Physical Sciences at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence, diversity, and inclusion within the faculty, staff and student body. The department invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. Qualifications

 

Basic qualifications (Required at Time of Application)

Ph.D. in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics, or related fields.

Evidence of and/or demonstrated ability of scholarly impact and research productivity.

Evidence of and/or demonstrated ability to teach and advise students.

Evidence of contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
