Postdoctoral position in compact objects

We invite applications for a postdoctoral fellow to work with Prof. Tom Maccarone on the Swift Galactic Bulge Survey in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at Texas Tech University.  

Candidates should either have a PhD in physics or astronomy or a closely related field, or anticipate receiving one by the start date.  Preference will be given to candidates with strong track records in X-ray and optical data analysis of populations of compact objects.  

The position is initially open for 2 years starting from October 1, 2022, but may be extended with some additional funds for some other high energy astrophysics projects that have already been approved for observation.  Candidates should provide a summary of past research, a CV, and three letters of reference by August 1, 2022.  Application materials should be uploaded following the link: https://bit.ly/3NPwU2O
